Economy is present in our life in many ways. Economy is formed in five ways that are connected to each other. They are called Production, Distribution, Consumption, Goods and Services. Production, Distribution and Consumption is how the items you use everyday are made in a factory, shipped and sold to a retail store in where you buy your goods and start using it everyday. For example, say we have a computer. It is built and assembled in a factory, that is the production. Then this computer is shipped to many retail stores, that is the distribution. Finally someone (me/you) buys the computer and starts using it in everyday life, that is the consumption. Goods and Services are the things and people you use everyday. For example, if you use a taxi everyday to commute you have just used a service and if you have bought something and have it for yourself or have traded something you have goods in your pocket.

Why you should be bothered
If you are not bothered about stuff that's going on in the world then nothing would change in those situations and potentially get worse and worse. If people are bothered about things that are going on in the world then they may help the situation get better and better and they may innovate new solutions to figure out how to solve the problem and help people that are affected in a negative way by the outcome of the problem. For example, in Syria there is a war going on and people that are in the nation are desperate to get to out of there, but in Hungary they are putting them in camps that are in bad condition and aren't humane. There is trash everywhere and there is potential for a disease outbreak in conditions like that. Those people have gone through so much and then they are greeted with one real nice camp. On the other hand, Germany is letting them in their country and are actually helping them in a way which is humane to them after seeing all the bloodshed of the battlefield and the destruction of their home and (sometimes) losing family members in gunfire.
